About The Position

OACAC Head Start is seeking motivated team members for the position of Family Advocate. The Family Advocate is a vital part of the school family and interacts with all center staff and children daily, so they must be friendly, flexible and a team player. Family Advocates are to bring support in a case management style and act as a liaison between families, staff, the community, and other family-related services. This position is also responsible for recruitment and registration of enrolled children and families. It is essential that this person is able to build and maintain positive relationships with children and families.

Requirements

• Minimum of HS Diploma/GED.
• Willingness to attain a credential (provided by the program) within 18 months of hire or certification in Social Services or related field.
• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Case management experience.

Responsibilities
