Requirements

  • Familiarity with data collection tools and assessment instruments used in family advocacy.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality standards and ethical guidelines in handling sensitive client information.
  • Awareness of military family dynamics and the unique challenges they face.
  • Understanding the roles of other FAP team members to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Basic knowledge of psychosocial issues and maltreatment risk factors.
  • Awareness of community outreach strategies and social marketing principles.
  • Strong computer skills for supporting various program components and maintaining digital resources.
  • Ability to compile and organize statistical data, meeting minutes, and written communications.
  • Effective collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and various database and software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, technical, and prevention services as a member of the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) team.
  • Maintain the government’s automated data collection systems, including FAPNet, ensuring accurate maltreatment data entry.
  • Provide administrative and computer support to the Maltreatment Intervention, New Parent Support Program (NPSP), and Outreach components.
  • Manage data to provide information regarding patient satisfaction, recidivism, and clinical outcome measures.
  • Compile statistical data, prepare minutes, agendas, and notification letters in accordance with FAP Standards.
  • Assist in the research and evaluation program by administering data collection assessment instruments.
  • Work in collaboration with the prevention team to provide supportive services to NPSP clients.
  • Assist with scheduling and preparation for the Outreach Prevention Management Council (OPMC) and record minutes.
  • Provide prevention services, briefings, educational presentations, and activities targeted to various audiences.
  • Provide orientation and annual training to Squadron Commanders and First Sergeants as directed.
  • Create contact notes in the NPSP module in FAPNet after client contact.
