About The Position

The Center for Family Safety and Healing is seeking a dedicated Adult Clinician to provide assessment and treatment to adults who have experienced intimate partner violence. This role is situated within a multidisciplinary team setting, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and communication among various professionals. The clinician will be responsible for timely reporting, documentation, and active participation in treatment and case plan development at the Center. A deep understanding of family violence and the systems that influence effective interventions is crucial for alleviating traumatic responses. This includes safety planning, child protection considerations when children are involved, and collaboration with law enforcement, prosecution, and victim advocacy services. The clinician will conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for adults presenting with concerns related to intimate partner violence and other forms of family violence. Based on the findings from these assessments, the clinician will develop Individual Services Plans (ISPs) that align with the identified needs and provide counseling services tailored to the goals and objectives established during this process. The role requires the clinician to demonstrate proficiency in various mental health interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Strengths-Based Therapy. In addition to providing clinical services, the clinician will document their practice in accordance with the standards set by TCFSH, the Joint Commission, and relevant funding agencies, ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining timely records. The clinician will also be responsible for making internal and external referrals for additional service needs or trauma treatments not available at TCFSH. Collaboration with the NCH Family Support Program and Home-Based Services is essential when working with adults who have children involved in their treatment programs. The clinician will participate in clinical supervision, peer reviews, staff meetings, and other quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of care. They will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to identify, assess, and report suspected family violence as mandated by law, focusing on risk reduction and prevention strategies. The clinician will manage subpoenas and provide court testimony as necessary, contributing to the development of clinical pathways, operating procedures, and evidence-based techniques that integrate services with Behavioral Health Services and other TCFSH partners. Furthermore, the clinician will be expected to provide in-service training on intimate partner violence as requested and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development through proactive goal setting, maintaining appropriate licensure, and engaging in educational opportunities both at TCFSH and within the community. Advocating for and representing the aspirations and values of TCFSH is a key aspect of this role, as is maintaining a safe environment for clients, themselves, and others while supporting patient safety initiatives. The clinician may also be assigned additional duties as needed to support the development of TCFSH.
