About The Position
A Step Ahead Soccer is seeking a dynamic and experienced coach for our unique preschool enrichment program. This part-time, temporary position is designed for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and the positive effects of physical activity. Our program is not a traditional soccer training scaled for preschool kids; instead, it is a custom-built curriculum that focuses on interactive storytelling and physical activities to engage children aged 2 to 5. The goal is to help prepare kids for kindergarten while encouraging an active lifestyle through soccer skills and storytelling. As a coach, you will lead students on interactive adventures each week, integrating soccer skills and school readiness into every lesson. The program emphasizes creativity, confidence, listening skills, cognition, social and emotional development, and physical activity. Coaches will be provided with a complete curriculum and training to effectively manage groups of young children and deliver the program in an engaging manner. This role is perfect for individuals who want to make a positive impact on young children's lives through play-based learning and physical activity. The position requires reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check. Coaches will work primarily on weekends in various locations throughout New Haven County, including Naugatuck, Oxford, West Haven, Wilton, Shelton, Seymour, Southington, Madison, Cromwell, Cheshire, and Wallingford. Pay for this position is set at $21 per hour, and applicants must have a cell phone for communication.
