About The Position

The Fall 2026 Intern (Tax & Audit) position at Pinion offers accounting students an opportunity to gain practical experience in a multi-service consulting firm. The internship starts on August 10, 2026, and ends on October 2, 2026, and is part-time, requiring 24 hours of work per week. Interns will prepare federal and state tax returns, assist in financial statement preparation, auditing, and general accounting, and work on various projects that apply their academic knowledge. This paid internship allows students to build relationships and gain exposure to the industry, with consideration for future employment opportunities upon successful completion.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Accounting or a related field, or in an Accounting certificate program.
• Must have completed a tax class prior to the start of the internship.
• Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in major and overall.
• Availability to work 24 hours per week.
• Availability to relocate to the internship location.
• This role is not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Assist in financial statement preparation, auditing, general accounting, and special projects.
• Work on projects applying academic knowledge, managing priorities and deadlines, and participating in client meetings.
• Learn new technology tools to interpret data efficiently and accurately.
• Build long-lasting relationships with intern peers and other professionals.
