About the Role: The Information Security landscape is constantly changing and we must continue to evolve to protect CrowdStrike data, our customers and partners. We have seen an increased need in ensuring the Software used day to day by our CrowdStrikers does not pose a risk to the organization. The supply chain threat is real and requires diligence on all fronts to protect what matters most. The intern will provide hands-on analysis of all software installed in the CrowdStrike environment and help define a scalable model for software reviews, approve/denied tracking, analytics and remediation through coordinating the removal of unapproved software directly with end users. The individual will need to have strong analytical and people skills and the ability to work at a high level with technical and non technical resources. The successful candidate will be able to turn the requirements into design specifications and then deliver technical solutions, training around them, support them, communicate change, and direct internal and external resources during such efforts.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a BA/BS or MA/MS degree program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related technology field with graduation expected between December 2026 - June 2027; security certifications (GIAC, CompTIA, ISACA, or (ISC)²) a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to create technical documentation and effectively communicate findings to drive action
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience searching through data/logs to identify patterns and anomalies, plus ability to trend/visualize data effectively
  • Natural curiosity and aptitude for comprehensive process mapping to identify and address potential gaps or oversights
  • Project management skills with understanding of enterprise applications, plug-ins, and browser extensions preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users effectively.
  • Fundamental understanding of key technologies such as Windows, Linux, and Apple operating systems, networks, application development tools
  • Python or other programming languages
  • Active Directory Experience
  • SIEM Experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive life-cycle solution for Desktop software security reviews, identifying improvement areas in existing programs with focus on automation opportunities
  • Define and establish baseline metrics for measuring program success while providing technical consulting and problem-solving support to teams throughout the systems development lifecycle
  • Manage day-to-day reporting and ad-hoc analysis requests while ensuring all system changes adhere to architecture, governance, security, and global process standards
  • Create and maintain essential documentation, training materials, and user communications to support implementation and adoption
  • Actively engage in hands-on design, development, and troubleshooting of existing systems, collaborating with internal team members and third-party suppliers as needed
