About The Position

The Vermont Criminal Justice Council (VCJC) is looking for a dynamic, forward‑thinking individual to join our team.   As a Fair & Impartial Policing (FIP) Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening public trust and advancing equitable policing practices across the state. This is a chance to influence not just individual officers, but the culture and systems that define public safety in Vermont.   You will design and train on statewide FIP training programs, analyze race data collection, collaborate with law enforcement agencies across Vermont, support agencies in implementing fair, evidence-based policing practices, and help shape policy and training that impacts communities statewide.   If you're energized by challenge, motivated by purpose, and ready to help guide Vermont toward a more equitable public safety landscape, this role offers a rare opportunity to make a lasting difference.

Requirements

  • Three (3) or more years of experience instructing and implementing organizational change initiatives INCLUDING training or initiatives regarding race, equity, and inclusion.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation applicable to the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Experience with leading or supporting professional development, large group facilitation, and survey data tracking and/or analysis.
