About The Position

The Fair Futures Workforce Supervisor supports Fair Futures Coaches & Liaisons in helping resident youth progress along their academic and career development journey by providing ongoing management, direction, and support. Creates a harmonious, strength-based work environment and uses the environment to successfully monitor case progress through regular, formal supervisory sessions, as well as during crisis situations. Helps create a strength-based, trauma-informed environment and provide ongoing management, direction, and support staff in building relationships with young people and helping them progress towards their goals. This position offers a full-time, 35 hour-per-week, hybrid/in field work schedule. This position requires work outside of normally scheduled working hours.

Requirements

  • MSW or Master’s in related field required with a minimum of 2-years of supervisory experience
  • Professional with strong written/verbal communication skills, time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct outreach and build partnership with outside community agencies.
  • Experience in or openness to interpreting data to inform decision-making.
  • Experience in or openness to implementing evidence-based practices.
  • Ability to use Motivational Interviewing techniques.
  • Ability to use trauma-informed techniques.
  • Ability to facilitate therapeutic groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of child welfare, preferably in congregate care setting is a plus, along with former case management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates fidelity to the agency’s service values and organizational imperatives.
  • Responsible for supervision of Fair Futures team, as needed/identified.
  • Expected to engage each staff in weekly supervision to review documentation in Care4/Connections (which include weekly contact with youth, Fair Futures Goal, and target services) and to monitor staff adherence to agency expectations
  • Responsible to conduct weekly Fair Futures Reports (Coached Youth, Goals, youth contact, census) to ensure monthly adherence of documentation by Fair Futures team
  • Engages/facilitates Fair Futures/Workforce TA Sessions as needed (assistance with goal documentation, report errors, census errors, re-freshers, or for additional support)
  • Ensures supervision and documentation of progress/ areas of improvement of staff related to documentation in Connections.
  • Ensures all Non-Coached and Coached youth are documented in Connections.
  • Ensures at least bi-weekly supervision with Director of Social Services.
  • Expected to engage in bi-weekly group supervision with Director of Social Services, MST Supervisor, and Case Planner Supervisor
  • Monitors and assesses and makes recommendations around the occurrence of bi-weekly Fair Futures workshops.
  • Monitors the occurrence of bi-weekly PYA workshops and weekly group work by PYA Specialist
  • Collaborates with Fair Futures stakeholder’s, social services team and agency providers for best service.
  • Attend all mandatory Fair Futures training as indicated on the Fair Futures workshop.
  • Oversight and coordination of Fair Future’s and Youth engagement activities.
  • Schedules/facilitates conferences with youth’s who are having difficulty achieving their Fair Futures goals .Ensures pertinent parties are invited to attend/participate.
  • Ensures timely celebration of youth’s achievement.
  • Ensure that Fair Future Staff are meeting with Case Planners/ MST and providing support to youth regarding compliance in agency services and engagement in case planning activities.
  • Attends and participates in scheduled Family Team Conferences.
  • Expected to provide weekly updates to Case Plannersregardingyouth engagement.
  • Attends any/all scheduled trainings as recommended.
  • Ensures the Youth Service Engagement Tracking Sheet (assists with monitoring youth referrals in services)
  • All other duties as assigned
