About The Position

onsemi's semiconductor fabrication facility in Syracuse, NY is looking for a Failure Analysis Engineer to join the team. Our technology enables the next generation of power conversion, accelerating the transition to high efficiency, high power conversion solutions and inspiring new power system architectures.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Material Science or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a similar job function.
• Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of SEM, EDX, FIB and AFM tools.
• Knowledge of other techniques like SIMS, CSAM, X-ray etc.
• Ability to multi-task on various projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for driving FA efforts for various aspects of compound semiconductor fab process and resulting high power products.
• Support fab tool bring up & process development by providing cross-sections and other FA efforts.
• Interface with external FA labs to provide results in a timely manner.
• Create FA reports and maintain FA database.
