About The Position

The Senior Quality Inspector shall perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with Aerospace Standard AS9102. The candidate will be reviewing FAIs packages in office and will ensure the accuracy and completeness of all engineering design requirements records on the AS9102 forms. Confirmation that the First Article Inspection Record (FAIR) is accurate and completed for a part number or assembly and that all part, product, and characteristic accountability aspects are addressed prior to approval.

Requirements

Must be U.S. Citizen
Candidate must have knowledge and practical experience of the AS9102 standard.
This should include at least 4-5 years of experience inspecting all aspects of first article packages in accordance with the standard, along with at least 5 years in quality.
Experience of working within an engineering environment for a min of 3 years.
Strong background in manufacturing in the aerospace or military / defense industries required.
Practical experience inspecting aerospace components and assemblies is necessary as well as knowledge of applicable industry standards is highly desired.
Must understand Purchasing documents, specifications, shop planning, drawings, 3D models and other technical instructions.
Demonstrate knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings, CMM data, digital product definition interpretation
Demonstrate evidence of product specific knowledge and experience as required
Good communication skills, both written and oral.
Must have proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with Net-Inspect software
