About The Position

Clackamas Community College (CCC) seeks to hire a FAFSA Lab Assistant position. This is a part-time, student, federal work study, non-exempt, and non benefits-eligible position. We are interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and candidates that may be from a less traditional background. This is a part-time federal work study pool posting for available assignments during the academic year. Applications are considered throughout the academic year 2025-2026 and reviewed based on department need. The Work-Study program at Clackamas Community College is a federal financial aid program that provides CCC students with part-time, temporary employment to offset college expenses. To apply, students must have accepted a current Award Letter/funding and have contacted [email protected] for prior approval. FAFSA Lab Assistant will work under the direction of the Financial Aid Coordinator to provide guidance to students and public seeking assistance with financial aid paperwork and process in the FAFSA Lab.

Requirements

  • Must be trustworthy and independently responsible.
  • Must have good people skills and the ability to professionally assist people as they stop in the office.
  • Must be efficient and comfortable using a personal computer to generate documents, access files, and access internet pages.
  • Must have a basic understanding of financial aid and be excited to learn about more in-depth research, process, and procedures pertaining to financial aid.
  • Ability to exemplify traits that reflect the College's culture, including integrity, a customer service orientation, cultural competency, trustworthiness, flexibility and a willingness to change.

Responsibilities

  • Will assist students and public to complete the financial aid application process; this will include a variety of paperwork, online processes, and potential referral sot alternate resources.
  • Will assist in keeping the office neat and orderly, and in miscellaneous office projects and event planning as they arise.
