Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in Field Application Engineering or technical customer-facing roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and semiconductor solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing technical teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated success in driving design wins and building strong customer relationships.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Field Application Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and customer focus.
  • Oversee technical support activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution of complex customer issues and delivering exceptional service.
  • Partner with sales teams to identify customer needs, propose innovative solutions, and drive design wins using Microchip’s industry-leading products.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand Microchip’s presence in key accounts and target markets, contributing to business growth.
  • Coordinate with product management and engineering teams to relay customer feedback, influence product development, and ensure alignment with market needs.
  • Organize and deliver technical training, seminars, and workshops for customers and internal teams to enhance product knowledge and application expertise.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform business strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals, demonstrations, and documentation to customers, showcasing the value of Microchip solutions.
  • Travel as required to support customer engagements, team activities, and industry events.
