About The Position

D’Youville’s Patricia H. Garman School of Nursing is seeking an outstanding candidate to join in a faculty position at the Clinical Assistant Professor rank to provide leadership in the areas of teaching, service and scholarly activity. Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs in a collaborative governance environment. Utilize a variety of active teaching strategies, including lectures, lab/clinical instruction, and online/hybrid formats to accommodate diverse learning styles. Engage in scholarship according to the Boyer model, focusing on teaching, discovery, application, and engagement. Participate in service activities that support the School of Nursing, the profession, and the community. Hold office hours, mentor students, and serve on departmental and college committees. Contribute to accreditation activities and strategic planning initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Unencumbered RN license to practice in New York or eligibility for licensure in New York.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • 3-5 years of academic experience in nursing with a record of teaching, service, and research.
  • Demonstrated engagement in scholarly activities and professional development.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment and focusing on student success.
