The Cedarville University School of Pharmacy seeks faculty applicants for a full-time, tenure track-eligible position in the area of Social and Administrative Sciences (SAS) at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. Rank is commensurate with experience. Candidates should have an interest and expertise in the disciplines of social administrative sciences, pharmacy law, and/or public health. Other areas of interest and expertise will be considered based on departmental needs. Primary responsibilities include didactic teaching, research, and service to the department, school, University, and the profession. Didactic teaching responsibility and course coordination will be assigned based upon the candidates' expertise and departmental needs. Research responsibilities would include developing and maintaining a research program that includes opportunities for PharmD students, related to one or multiple broader areas including pharmacoepidemiology, utilization and cost of medication and other health care services, socio-behavioral aspects of patient care and health outcomes, or other related areas. Collaborative research opportunities exist with the Center for Pharmacy Innovation. All Cedarville University School of Pharmacy faculty members engage in teaching, research, and service. This position is subject to the University's verification of credentials and other information required by law and Cedarville University policies, including the successful completion of a background check. This position is pending budget approval. This position is located in Cedarville, Ohio.

Requirements

  • PhD in Social and Administrative Sciences, Public Health Policy and Administration, Health Economics, or related field.
  • Documented successful teaching experience.
  • Documented research/scholarship experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as a team member.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Commitment to biblical integration in and out of the classroom.
  • Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian.
  • Qualified candidates must agree with and be willing to abide by Cedarville University's Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant and General Workplace Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Didactic teaching and course coordination based on expertise and departmental needs.
