The UNMC College of Pharmacy invites applications from clinical translational scientists for a 12-month, tenure-leading faculty position at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science. The Department seeks candidates who will complement existing areas of research strength in oncology, or infectious diseases, but welcomes applicants in other clinical translational specialties. The successful applicant will demonstrate an emerging or established scholarly track record in clinical translational science. They will be expected to work with other faculty within the Department, College and UNMC to develop and sustain an independent externally funded research program. The application should have a strong commitment to professional education and advancing the profession of pharmacy. Contribution to a clinical practice site is possible, but not required. The position will support the Department, College, UNMC and the Profession, through service to committees and professional organizations. The successful candidate will actively engage in and direct Masters and PhD graduate student education and post-doctoral training. Ideal candidates will possess a PharmD or PhD, a commitment to teaching excellence at the professional and graduate levels, and a history of innovative, interdisciplinary, and collaborative research interactions. Excellent written and verbal communication and personal skills are required. The faculty member will report directly to the Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science and will be provided with a competitive salary and start up package.
