West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Urology seek a Urologic Oncologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Bridgeport, WV, and Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Urologic Oncology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The WVU Cancer Institute is comprised of a multidisciplinary care center, the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center (MBRCC), in Morgantown, West Virginia, as well as 16 regional sites across West Virginia and the surrounding region. The MBRCC is one of the country's premier cancer treatment centers. It is a quaternary cancer center housing the state's only Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program and the only Hyperthermic Intraoperative Peritoneal Chemotherapy Program. The growth of the Institute is driven by a mission to connect patients in all areas of the state and region with a broader team of cancer specialists and is centered on five common themes: clinical enterprise and advancement; statewide cancer prevention, control, and outreach; research; and education. The System has undergone significant expansion in specialty and sub-specialty care in areas such as women’s health, cancer, heart and vascular, and neuroscience, among many others. The Health System operates West Virginia’s first and only multi-organ transplant center and a 150-bed Children’s Hospital. Today, the WVU Health System has more than 3,400 licensed beds, 4,600 providers, and nearly 35,000 employees.
