About The Position

The College of Health Professions at Mercer University invites applications for a full-time faculty member with a focus in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. This is a 12-month, non-tenure track position. The Department of Physician Assistant Studies is in a progressive and innovative College that emphasizes evidence-based and integrative approaches to health and collaboration with the other programs in the College (Physical Therapy, Public Health, Clinical Psychology, Athletic Training, and Kinesiology).

Requirements

  • A graduate of an accredited master's degree physician assistant program with a current NCCPA certification and immediate eligibility for physician assistant licensure in Georgia
  • Or a graduate of an accredited medical school with current licensure as an allopathic or osteopathic physician in Georgia and certified by an ABMS- or AOA-approved specialty board
  • Clinical experience as a practicing PA, DO, or MD required
