About The Position

Faculty, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) – Hybrid (California Only) Stanbridge University is seeking experienced, student-centered MSN Faculty to deliver high-quality graduate nursing education in a hybrid format (on-campus and online). This role supports instruction, curriculum quality, and student outcomes within the Master of Science in Nursing program. MSN Faculty play a critical role in preparing advanced practice and leadership-focused nurses through rigorous, evidence-based instruction, meaningful student engagement, and scholarly mentorship. Teaching assignments are aligned with program needs, faculty expertise, and availability. This position is ideal for doctoral-prepared nurse educators who are passionate about graduate education, clinical excellence, and student success in a flexible, hybrid learning environment.

Requirements

  • Terminal degree in Nursing or a related field (DNP, PhD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
  • Graduate-level teaching experience in a pre- or post-licensure nursing program
  • Minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience, with relevant experience aligned to assigned courses
  • Experience teaching in online or hybrid learning environments
  • Proficiency with learning management systems and educational technology
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be physically present on campus as required
  • Employment verification will be conducted to validate work experience per accreditation standards
  • Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check
  • Official transcripts are required prior to hire
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

  • Experience teaching at the graduate (MSN) level
  • Expertise in one or more advanced practice or leadership areas (e.g., leadership, education, informatics, population health)
  • Experience with curriculum development, assessment, or accreditation processes
  • Active scholarly engagement (research, publications, or presentations)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver graduate-level didactic and/or clinical instruction in hybrid formats (on-campus and online)
  • Facilitate engaging, learner-centered experiences that promote clinical reasoning, leadership, and evidence-based practice
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain consistent communication with students
  • Support student progression, retention, and successful program completion
  • Teach courses aligned with MSN program outcomes and course objectives
  • Contribute to curriculum implementation and continuous improvement
  • Integrate current evidence, clinical guidelines, and professional standards into instruction
  • Ensure consistency and quality across course delivery and learning outcomes
  • Evaluate student performance using established rubrics and program standards
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of grades, attendance, and required documentation
  • Participate in assessment activities related to program outcomes and accreditation requirements
  • Collaborate with faculty and program leadership to support student success and program initiatives
  • Participate in department meetings and shared governance activities as required
  • Support accreditation readiness and compliance with institutional and regulatory standards
  • Maintain currency in clinical practice, education, and scholarly activity
  • Model professional behaviors consistent with advanced nursing roles
