The Jewelry Faculty supports learning on campus and via distance learning modalities. Responsible to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to student success and creating an environment that promotes belonging for all. This position starts in August 2026. Jewelry making is an ancient art that is alive and well today. This role will support the future of this industry in teaching the next generation of students who will be working as bench jewelers. Austin Community College’s Jewelry Department provides the knowledge and skills needed for our students to be ready to contribute in the industry upon graduation. Our hands-on instruction at the jewelry bench includes time-honored techniques and fundamentals such as fabrication, lost-wax casting, stone setting and repair; as well as access to state-of-the-art equipment and computer aided design (CAD) technology. With decades of experience in every corner of the market, our faculty provide the foundation for student success.
