About The Position

The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time or substitute basis in the Forest Technology program. Location: Allenwood, Pennsylvania (ESC)

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Forestry related discipline, OR, equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three (3) years industry experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
• Developed organizational skills.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Forestry or closely related discipline.
• Relevant secondary or postsecondary school teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and evaluate students in one or more of the courses offered in the Forest Technology program, including but not limited to: chainsaw safety, forest mensuration, dendrology, wood products, silviculture, wildlife management, wildland firefighting, pest management, and/or timber operations.
• Maintain accurate written records of student performance.
• Attend department meetings as requested.
• Complete official student rosters and return to School office as required.
