Faculty Family Medicine Physician

About the position

United Health Services is seeking a Faculty Family Medicine Physician to join our Upper Front St Family Practice department at 507 Main Street in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, assess, plan, and evaluate patients' medical care.
• Take call assignments, including night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Arrange for another physician to care for Physician's patients when Physician is absent.
• Assist colleague physicians with medical care issues upon request.
• Refer patients to primary or specialty care as necessary.
• Direct and supervise nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other staff, if applicable.
• Continuously improve Physician's performance and work with others to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Cooperate with Employer to enhance a meaningful multidisciplinary program of continuous quality improvement.
• Assist with organizing educational programs for health professionals.
• Participate in medical group and hospital committees, as applicable.
• Assist with supervising and evaluating nonprofessional staff.
• Maintain effective communication and working relationships with providers and facilities.
• Capture patient encounters by complying with billing procedures.
• Promptly complete and submit all records and reports.
• Assist to develop care management that emphasizes patient ease of access and continuity of care.
• Use best efforts to improve Physician's patient satisfaction scores.
• Foster and participate in the education of students, residents, and fellows.

Requirements

• Must be board certified or eligible.
• Completion of an ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.
