About The Position

The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is seeking qualified applicants for full-time, non-tenure stream faculty in the Department of Nurse Anesthesia. We are seeking a doctorally prepared nurse who will assume primary oversight and guidance of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) scholarly projects required for program completion and Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) compliance. Requirements

  • Earned doctorate (PhD or DNP).
  • Eligibility for RN licensure in Pennsylvania or a compact state.
  • Strong understanding of COA standards.
  • Experience advising or overseeing PhD or DNP projects in a graduate nursing or advanced practice program.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and systems-based leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification.
  • Evidence of or potential for a sustained and impactful program of scholarship.
  • Evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring.

Responsibilities
