About The Position

Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking a full-time Faculty member for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, GCU is a regionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University that emphasizes a job-focused education. The college offers a diverse range of programs, including counseling, psychology, justice studies, history, and English literature. As a Faculty member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the futures of students by providing high-quality instruction that incorporates innovative teaching methodologies and cutting-edge technologies. You will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse student population both on campus and online, fostering an inclusive learning environment. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching one or more subjects within the prescribed curriculum, preparing and delivering lectures, and stimulating class discussions. You will compile bibliographies for outside reading assignments and administer examinations, either personally or by assigning this task to others. Staying current with new trends and developments in your field is essential, and your student classroom load will be assigned based on your teaching qualifications and demonstrated classroom facilitation skills. GCU is particularly interested in candidates who can enhance the diversity of the academic community and integrate faith into their teaching practices.
