About The Position

Position Title: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Accounting Department: Academic Affairs > Business Department Position Summary: Warner University is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Accounting faculty position in the Business Department. The faculty members in the Business Department seek to prepare students to become leaders in general business, accounting, finance, human resources, management, and marketing. The primary responsibilities associated with this position include teaching a variety of in-person undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting, business, and other related fields. Additional duties may include developing and implementing department programming, revising existing courses, and developing new ones. In keeping with Warner University’s accreditation with SACSCOC and the guidelines provided in the Principles of Accreditation , the university will require the following: Faculty teaching baccalaureate courses: doctorate or master’s degree in the teaching discipline or master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline). Faculty teaching graduate and post-baccalaureate coursework: earned doctorate/terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline. Individuals must have either a Ph.D. in Accounting or a DBA in Business Administration with a focus on accounting or a closely related discipline from a regionally accredited program, and should have experience in teaching at the college level. CPA certification and practical experience in the field are desired. Preference will be given to candidates with additional coursework and teaching in the fields of marketing and/or finance. The individual must have excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills. Preference will be given to candidates with some degree of theological education or experience in Christian education within an orthodox, evangelical context. Familiarity with Moodle or a similar online learning platform is also desirable.
