About The Position

Overview The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time and/or substitute basis in the automotive technology management program. This position may be available as remote. Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in automotive technology, vocational education, or related discipline Required Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field. Preferred LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified Master Automobile Technician. Preferred Licensed Pennsylvania inspection instructor. Preferred EXPERIENCE Six (6) years' experience in the automotive sector with specific experience in the areas to be taught. Required Teaching experience at the secondary or postsecondary level. Preferred Service management experience for a major automotive manufacturer or automotive dealership. Preferred ABILITIES AND SKILLS Developed organizational skills. Required Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required Possession of a valid driver's license. Required Responsibilities Instruct and evaluate students in upper level automotive courses (300+ level). Provide instruction in automotive technology management, customer service, personnel and facility management, strategic planning, workforce development, alternative fueled vehicles, and the Senior Project. Maintain accurate written records of student performance. Complete student rosters and return to the School office as required. Physical Standards and Special Job Features May require some lifting of parts, etc. Pay Transparency The part-time rate for 2025/26 will be the greater of $1160 per credit or $773 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $48.31 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week. Requirements
