Requirements

Associate of Science Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
5 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Physical Therapist.
Current Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant /Physical Therapist.
Currently practicing in a clinical environment.
Successful candidates are required to reside in Idaho by the first day of work for the College of Western Idaho.

Responsibilities

Teach assigned Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) courses in alignment with CWI catalog descriptions and program standards.
Apply effective teaching methods that promote student engagement, learning, and success.
Serve as a professional role model, demonstrating excellence in physical therapy care and ethical practice.
Assess and grade student performance according to established course criteria.
Participate in orientation, mentoring, and faculty team meetings to support program cohesion and instructional consistency.
Engage in program activities related to course planning, implementation, and continuous improvement.
Ensure adherence to applicable program, department, and college policies and regulations.
Stay current with developments in physical therapy practice and education through continuing education and professional development.
Maintain subject matter expertise to deliver relevant and up-to-date course content.
Demonstrate ongoing commitment to excellence in teaching and professional practice.
