About The Position

The Bertolon School of Business (BSB) at Salem State University invites applicants for an open rank, full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the field of Finance beginning Fall 2026. This faculty member will teach courses at both graduate and undergraduate level in finance including topics in financial planning, corporate finance, and investments. The successful candidate will also be expected to advise students, maintain an active applied research agenda, and provide service to the school and broader community. Requirements

  • Terminal degree or PhD in Finance or a related field; ABD will be considered if doctorate is conferred by August 2026
  • Previous teaching experience at the college level
  • Active research agenda to meet school-wide publication expectations
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching, collegial relationships, and service to the university community

Responsibilities

  • Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract.
  • Duties include teaching, advising, scholarship and contributions to continuously improve the department and university.
  • The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester.
