About The Position

The Factory Systems Technologist at RTX Corporation is a mid-level role focused on organizing and supporting factory systems that enhance manufacturing operations. The position involves developing, overseeing, and maintaining factory information systems, ensuring network connectivity, implementing cybersecurity measures, and troubleshooting user-reported issues. The technologist will work with various operating systems and applications to ensure the integrity and performance of the factory's technological infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience.
  • Experience with group policies and setting system security controls.
  • System Administration experience in Microsoft Windows Desktops (e.g., Windows XP, 7 & 10), Windows Servers (e.g., Windows Server 2008, 2012 & 216) and/or Linux/Unix.
  • Operations Technology (OT) integration and automation experience (sensors, robotics, PLCs etc.).
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: Security+, CISSP, CNA, MCP, MCSA, or similar.
  • Experience with firewalls - Cisco or Forcepoint products.
  • Knowledge with HP server hardware support and diagnosis.
  • Knowledge with HP storage hardware support and diagnosis.
  • Knowledge of NAS and/or SAN.
  • Experience with python, java, java script, or C++ programming languages.
  • NetApp/storage knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure network connectivity throughout the company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is consistent with Raytheon security practices.
  • Implement and support cybersecurity settings on network and stand-alone workstations.
  • Make recommendations for future upgrades and changes to cyber policy.
  • Maintain integrity of the server deployment and security.
  • Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services (e.g. LDAP and/or Active Directory).
  • Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of test stations as well as printers.
  • Perform network address assignment.
  • Administer servers, factory computers, printers, software deployment, security updates, and patching.
  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users, triage, and isolate issues.
  • Evaluate and adjust system's performance.
  • Program and/or script applications as needed.
