Tyndale is hiring a Full-Time Retail Store Trimmer in Midland/Odessa store to provide top-notch prepare garments in the final stage of embroidery by trimming loose threads, removing lint and folding items neatly and bagged up to be ready for customer pickup. In addition, the Retail Store Trimmer will assist in providing customer service to Tyndale's retail customers making recommendations regarding our FR and non-FR apparel. They will ensure our customers are kept safe and that they've enjoyed a smooth retail shopping experience. This opportunity requires an outgoing team player attitude and someone who has the flexibility to work Monday through Saturday afternoons; NO Sunday store hours are required!

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of fabrics and their characteristics is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to learn technical components of products
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with team members and is personable
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including morning, evening and weekend availability
  • Ability to handle physical requirements to accomplish daily responsibilities
  • Capable of lifting 40lbs without assistance
  • Embroidery machine operating experience preferred, but not required
  • 1 year retail experience preferred
  • Must possess basic computer knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Trim backing left on garments
  • Remove loose threads and lint left by embroidery machine
  • Fold and organize finished garments
  • Double and triple check completed embroidered items
  • Pack items into bags and notify customer their order is ready for pickup
  • Communicate issues with supervisor and others on the team
  • Provide additional help needed operating the embroidery machine or heat transfer machine
  • Offer superior customer service to all customers
  • Greet customers, build relationships and assist with product selection
  • Process payment transactions and order placement
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
