Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Waterloo Function: Factory Engineering (CA) Title: Factory Automation Engineer - 119233 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a Factory Automation Engineer for JD Engine Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will: • Support Factory Needs with automation related items, including mistake-proofing, vision systems, SCADA and MES systems etc. • Collaborate with Engine Works team and others across the division/enterprise on future initiatives • Assist with critical factory automation projects that support safety, quality, or efficiency initiatives • Assist other factory automation engineers with support as required in troubleshooting • Update electrical prints, programming and other documentation for shop floor equipment including human-machine interfaces (HMI) and programmable logic controllers (PLC) VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in factory setting
  • 1+ years experience programming PLCs
  • Knowledge of software/tools (Kepware, Visual Basic, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience in electrical design and the use of electrical drafting software
  • Experience in project management - moderate scale complex projects

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years experience in Ignition
  • 1-3 years experience in JDAAT
  • Understanding network connectivity requirements for equipment, and VLAN Network Topology
  • Experience with Cognex, Fanuc or Keyence Vison Applications
  • Experience with Fanuc Robotics Applications
  • Experience maintaining or troubleshooting VFD Drive or Servo applications
  • 1 or more years of experience in Structured Query Language (SQL) and Databases
  • 1 or more years of experience in a programing language ( Python, C++)

Responsibilities
