We succeed through teamwork. In this role you will be a member of an interdisciplinary systems engineering team responsible for the development of a new integrated ATE system.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong understanding of ATE instrumentation
  • Strong understanding of test and measurement instrumentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and methodical analytical skills
  • Fundamental understanding of benchtop instrumentation like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
  • Software experience programming in the following languages: MS Visual C/C++/C#
  • Ability to effectively work on cross-functional teams both technical and non-technical
  • Proficient with MS-Office and related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Apply strong electrical engineering principles to troubleshoot and solve problems on instrumentation
  • Develop system level product design through signal interconnects, power distribution, HW/SW integration
  • Develop and maintain system maintenance strategies
  • Perform research and development on technical product development
  • Design and develop system self-test and calibration programs to support future product platform configurations and Teradyne Defense & Aerospace families of instrumentation
  • Design cables and Interface Cable Adapters for system level integration
  • Design and develop programs and procedures for requirements verification
  • Develop tests using various Digital, RF, and Bus communication protocols
  • Interface with SW Engineering, HW Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Customer to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems
  • Develop, debug, and maintain large-scale software in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Travel to customer locations required up to 10% of time
