About The Position

The purpose of the Facilities Coordinator role at Journey Church is to assist with all maintenance required at each building/campus; to work with the Facilities Team to accomplish the goal of providing and maintaining an environment of excellence in order to accomplish the vision of Journey Church.

Requirements

  • Must have working knowledge of basic construction, electrical, plumbing
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Demonstrates good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and be willing to adapt to last minute changes in the regular schedule
  • Displays ability to follow detailed instructions and display effective time management
  • Demonstrates proficiency in problem solving and the ability to handle multiple projects effectively
  • Exhibits integrity and an ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Maintains a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
  • Must possess the ability to stand and walk for long periods and to lift and move over 50 pounds
  • Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
  • Commitment to personal spiritual growth

Responsibilities

  • Meet weekly with Facilities Director to discuss and prepare for all projects in the upcoming week (services, projects, outside vendor work, etc.)
  • Respond to all emergencies and make assessment. Work with Facilities Team to find a solution when necessary
  • Complete all work tickets assigned in a prompt manner
  • Supports Ministry Leads to ensure everything is in working order for services, events, and conferences
  • Oversee the scheduling of cleaning services and maintenance of the consumables and cleaning supplies inventory, placing orders for new products and stocking utility supply areas as needed
  • Performing heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned
  • Execute and document routine facilities inspection, cleaning and maintenance
  • Reconcile credit card purchases ensuring each receipt is itemized and coded appropriately
  • Secure all buildings after operating hours
  • Notify Facilities Director of occurring deficiencies, repair needs and unsafe conditions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ensures the exterior areas of all buildings on campus are clean and ready to receive guests for services
  • Monitors alarm systems, A/C units, lights, and sound in all buildings
  • Addresses any facilities issues as needed
