Description Key Accountabilities Essential Functions Greet customers, visitors, and employees as they arrive at the designated premises or buildings. Maintain contact logs with employees and visitors, including equipment and reason for visit information. Serve as a communication liaison between the Trucking Supervisor and/or acting supervisors. Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that could pose security risks or safety hazards. Keep detailed records of trucks, trailers, equipment, and company information entering and exiting the gate. Contact supervisors in emergency situations or when threats arise, and attempt to manage situations until help arrives. Provide assistance and support to customers, visitors, and employees at the gates, maintaining a professional and courteous manner. Coordinate equipment availability and on-site resources. Manage trailer inspections, and handle pickup and drop-off paperwork. Possess knowledge of truck, trailer, and equipment types. Operate a forklift for loading and unloading sandboxes. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge/Skill/Ability Act professional. Ability to read and write detailed reports. Strong phone and computer skills – MS office and MS Excel. Knowledge in operating various commonly used office equipment’s and electronic media. High level of organizational skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to use the internet and to do research work. Language Comprehension Ability to understand and speak English at a level of proficiency allowing employee to issue, receive and respond to both safety and operations-related directions in English
