About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Facility/Warehouse Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to manage the training facility, ensuring the facility is maintained by the owner, ensuring the facility is clean and presentable , receiving and storing procured equipment, preparing equipment with shipping to training locations overseas, and receiving returned equipment and preparing and storing it for use on future training courses.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of related professional experience in building management and warehouse management and logistics.
  • Must be a US Citizen and hold a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Knowledge of facility management and building maintenance requirements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Logistics and freight forwarding processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory control
  • Knowledge of quality, safety, and health guidelines for warehouse operations.
  • Proven ability to perform in a field supervisory capacity.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Requires the ability to communicate clearly, conduct presentations to the warehouse team and interface effectively with a diverse group of professional trainers and planners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with field personnel in a tactful and effective manner.
  • Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to direct and manage warehouse technicians with day-to-day activities to assure timely completion of tasks.
  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
  • An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with government property management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of the Training Facility/Warehouse.
  • Ensures the building owner performs routine maintenance and keeps the facility clean, landscaped and presentable for international students and project staff.
  • Ensures the facility security systems are functional
  • Responsible for setting up an efficiently operating warehouse for equipment and items used for the conduct of training classes and exercises.
  • Manages all warehouse operations, including equipment maintenance, packing, and preparing event materials for shipment and receiving and checking materials upon return.
  • Works with management for shipping schedules.
  • Forecast shipping lead times.
  • Interacting with Freight Forwarder subcontractors.
  • Manage stock and determine when consumables are low and need replenishing
  • Supporting conduct of stock inventories for property reporting and management
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
