This position reports to Recycling & Waste Manager.

Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of or desire to learn hazardous waste industry
• Successful completion of OSHA/DOT physical examination
• Become fit tested for a respirator and be comfortable wearing respirator for multiple hours a week
• Forklift experience
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
• Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
• Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
• Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
• The Facility Technician frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive.

Responsibilities

• Waste and document preparation; regulatory and safety review
• Load & unload incoming and outgoing trucks
• Operate forklift and other machinery safely and proficiently
• Waste inventory management through the use of Triumvirate designed software and computerized waste tracking system
• Learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices
• Become familiar with packaging guidelines and disposal facility selection
• Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations, Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices, Triumvirate’s solid waste permit, and EPA regulations
• Communicate effectively with end facilities as well as fellow employees to solve complex issues
