About The Position

Clean Harbors in Kimball, NE is seeking a Facility Technician for the Incineration Train 2. This position involves hands-on operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations, and offloading vehicles using forklift operations. The technician will operate the incinerator along with a clamshell device. The role offers a new wage of $26.50 per hour, depending on experience, with weekly pay. The work schedule consists of 4 rotating shifts of 12 hours each, alternating between days and nights (6a-6p / 6p-6a).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift operation experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • DOT Training.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications.
  • Ability to climb on and off forklifts.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from the ground to waist.
  • Ability to climb up and down vertical ladders.
  • Capable of reaching out, over, and down exerting a force.
  • 20/20 eyesight corrected or uncorrected - depth perception is critical.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Punctuality and attendance required.
  • Clean shaven face required for respirator fit test upon hire (mustache okay!).
  • Background check, drug screen, and physical required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on operations including drum movement, drum opening, tank farm truck loading/unloading in compliance with DOT segregation requirements.
  • Operate a forklift when necessary.
  • Perform and document daily safety checks prior to operating equipment.
  • Complete and submit all associated paperwork required for waste tracking movements.
  • Use scanning applications for dumping and pumping.
  • Ensure work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Review all applicable SOPs and satisfactorily complete quizzes.
  • Maintain ownership for area-specific permit required compliance standards.
  • Meet or exceed production goals.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
