About The Position

Facility Technician III – Drywall Journeyman Ultradent, a global name in oral health, operates seven state-of-the-art facilities covering nearly a million square feet. Our facilities house manufacturing operations, cGMP spaces, shipping centers, print and machine shops, analytical/quality control laboratories, and corporate offices. We are seeking a Facility Technician III with drywall/framing journeyman experience to join our team. This role is responsible for advanced operations, maintenance, and repairs of physical plant systems and components, with a special emphasis on drywall installation and finishing. The Technician III will support inventory control, part procurement procedures, and maintain a safe, organized work environment while wearing appropriate PPE. Exceptional customer service, accurate and timely work, and a commitment to safety are essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Minimum 4 - 10 years of facility maintenance or construction experience, including dry wall journeyman-level expertise is ideal.
  • Proficient with power tools and safety practices.
  • Strong mathematical and computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderate to heavy physical work, including exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, hazardous equipment, and working at heights.
  • Competent in setting up and climbing ladders safely with tools and equipment required for assigned tasks.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and stoop for extended periods (over 80% of shift).

Responsibilities

  • Performs advanced drywall installation, patching, finishing, and repairs, including framing and sheetrock work.
  • Handles general maintenance duties: fixing wall covers, floor covers, furniture, and fixtures; minor plumbing and appliance repairs.
  • Leads painting and refurbishing projects.
  • Conducts routine and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Coordinates minor building and equipment repairs.
  • Assists with seasonal tasks such as snow removal.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and prevents injury to self and others.
  • Performs routine maintenance on company vehicles when assigned.
  • Executes specific work duties as assigned, utilizing skills in framing, sheetrock, painting, flooring, and other daily maintenance tasks.
  • Implements preventative maintenance programs for building equipment.
  • Manages pick-up and delivery of materials as needed.
