Clean Harbors is currently looking for a Facility Technician In Redwood City, CA to join their team! As a Facility Technician I you will perform hands on operations. This role involves working with railcars and tankers, operating forklifts, and performing tasks independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is comfortable working at heights, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining safe and efficient workflow. Pay: Starting at $23.00/hour , higher depending on experience Schedule: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM , plus overtime as needed

Requirements

  • Prior forklift experience required
  • Comfortable working at heights and using appropriate PPE
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced plant environment
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • 1+ Years of related experience
  • Ability to use computer
  • Ability to lift 50 or more pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with railcars or tankers a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Load railcars from the top in accordance with safety and operational guidelines
  • Operate forklifts to move materials and support daily plant operations
  • Work safely on top of railcars and tankers, following fall-protection requirements
  • Support tanker operations, including loading, unloading, staging, and inspection
  • Perform routine tasks within the San Jose plant with a strong focus on safety and compliance
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and accuracy
  • Performs daily tasks of drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations, and offloading trucks;
  • Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements, able to use scanning application.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management.
