About The Position

HPC-Industrial , powered by Clean Harbors, in Arlington TX is looking for a Part time (Internship) Facility Technician to join their safety conscious team!  Assist with the technical data collection at a large automotive manufacturing facility. This work will require significant walking, climbing of stairs and ladders. Part time with approximately 20 hours per week. Sunday afternoons are required, otherwise the hours will be flexible. This work will require significant walking, climbing of stairs and ladders. The facility has both clean-room environments and areas that are dirty. Training will be provided, and the successful candidate must learn, understand, and perform the following operations: · Pressurization and balance of airflow throughout paint booth systems. · How to measure airflow and track data in an electronic database. · How to record equipment set points and track them in an electronic database. GENERAL TASKS: · Collection of data to include: · Airflow Readings · Water Quality Testing · Equipment Set Points · Data entry into a database and data tracking tools. · Develop and monitor plant data boards to include troubleshooting, creating, and tracking countermeasures. EXPECTATIONS: · Use analytical problem-solving skills to complete required tasks while maintaining a high level of quality workmanship. · Maintain positive and effective communication with team members. · Take direction from and work with plant lead technician. · Present professional appearance and demeanor. · Follow all safety guidelines. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: · Student in engineering or technology. · Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and have general computer skills. · Must be mechanically inclined and be able to learn and understand the paint process system(s). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: · Must be able to climb ladders and work with and around industrial equipment. · The work environment is a large industrial paint facility. There will be significant walking and standing.
