A snapshot day in the life of a Facility Technical Planner role will be working alongside the Maintenance Supervisor as a key member of the purchasing and planning team, you'll be involved in Planning for quarterly, semiannual, and annual PM tasks for the site, maintaining regulatory needs for items like fire systems, PSM, and pressure vessels. This role will also support purchasing for high priority items that are critical to site function or needs.

  • Plan, coordinate and schedule maintenance activities
  • Schedule resources, parts and coordinate with Production for planned work activities
  • Operate a computer relating to Maintenance Part Inventory software (CMMS)
  • Interface with outside 3rd party vendors for planned work including Fire system, BFP's, pressure Vessels, calibrations, and PM
  • Analyze effectiveness of PM activity and other work planning utilizing UMS and CMMS tools
  • Maintain good records utilizing electronic and paper files
  • Interface with purchasing and parts personnel as needed to effectively provide materials/parts for work order planning
  • Assist storeroom as needed, this includes absence coverage, receiving, cycle counts and 5S
  • Responsible for expedited purchase orders, obtain approvals & signatures to place P.O. with the supplier
  • Verifies price, terms and conditions of purchase orders
  • Review, kit, and schedule all quarterly, semi-annual, and annual PM work
  • Assist maintenance managers and supervisors in prioritizing work as to work type and trade assigned
  • Work with maintenance and production planners to coordinate machinery availability and downtime for maintenance work
  • Communicate with technicians to ensure schedule adherence and understanding
  • Regular interaction with maintenance technicians and mechanics to ensure work understanding and timely completion
  • PM pillar team member
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience working as a production line mechanic, facilities mechanic or parts/purchasing/storeroom technician
  • Ability to comprehend machine manuals and drawings with a clear interpretation of their meaning
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of plant personnel
  • Good general shop knowledge
  • Proficient knowledge of parts and materials as well as their nomenclature
  • Good math skills
  • Ability to compose reports to effectively communicate results/conclusions
  • Must be well organized utilizing sound 5S principles
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite applications, strong emphasis on Word and Excel
