About The Position

Join Our Team as a Facility Support Personnel – Make a Daily Difference! Are you someone who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment? As a Facility Support Personnel at our senior living community, you’ll play a vital role in helping our residents feel at home. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the facility, grounds, and equipment to ensure everything operates safely, smoothly, and efficiently. We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented individual who can work independently, adapt to changing needs, and bring a strong sense of integrity to their work.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in custodial work, required
  • Position requires the ability to lift and move objects, weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance
  • Must be 18 years old
  • Valid unrestricted state of Michigan driver's license required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience in maintenance work, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Clean restrooms, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the day.
  • Empty trash bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with department procedures.
  • Assist in cleaning windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, trimming, sweeping, mowing, removing snow and salting, etc., as necessary/directed.
  • Set up and take down furniture and equipment for events or meetings.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the EVS Director.
  • Assist with inventory management by organizing and restocking cleaning supplies.
  • Complete work orders timely through an electronic portal system.
  • Assist with room moves including furniture, clothing, and other personal items.
