About The Position

The Facility Support Attendant at the Missouri Botanical Garden is a full-time role focused on maintaining the internal and external appearance of the Garden. This position serves as the face of the Garden during shifts, interacting with employees, visitors, vendors, and donors. The role includes general housekeeping duties and event setup, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Willingness to learn new procedures
• Ability to present a professional attitude at all times under public scrutiny
• Meet productivity standards
• Ability to read instructions and understand labels on cleaning products
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift 30-60 pounds
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures and all-weather conditions
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Perform general daily housekeeping duties
• Set up tables and chairs for events
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to visitors and employees at all times
• Ensure proper disposal of recycled compost and landfill materials
• Report all accidents, injuries, and near-miss accidents immediately to the supervisor
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, wash surfaces, and empty trash as assigned
