About The Position

The Facility Security Officer (FSO) at Augustine Consulting, Inc. is responsible for managing all facility and personnel clearances, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain a secure environment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to lead indirectly while providing guidance on security matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field or a Physical Security Program (PSYSEC), Center for Development of Security Excellence (DCSE), or Physical Security Profession (PSP) certificate is preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience (Government experience preferred) managing personnel and facility clearances.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance (minimum of Secret required to apply).
• Detailed working knowledge of the NISPOM and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
• Demonstrated knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Teams).
• Advanced Excel proficiency expected.
• Proven analytic, organization and problem-solving skills to support sound decision making.
• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish business relationships with internal team members and external contacts, including prime contractor and subcontractor security managers.
• Initiate, process, track, and manage all personnel security clearances.
• Manage and maintain facility security requirements in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operation Manual (NISPOM).
• Develop, track, and update all personnel security reports for company and program leadership.
• Perform environmental scans and disseminate critical security information to assist in the prevention of insider and external threats.
• Manage all industrial security matters within National Industrial Security System (NISS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and National Background Investigation Services Agency Portal (NBIS).
• Perform other related duties as assigned by manager.
