About The Position

The Facility Security Officer (FSO) at Trace Systems Inc. is responsible for developing and managing internal security program policies and procedures in compliance with DoD security policies. This role involves overseeing security aspects concerning government requirements and maintaining successful relationships with both government and internal customers. The FSO will ensure compliance with security regulations, manage facility clearance levels, and provide security support and training.

Requirements

  • Active scope US Government issued Top-Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Industrial Security supporting national security programs.
  • FSO Program Management Certification for Possessing Facilities is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 and ISL.
  • Expert personnel security management experience for collateral and SCI positions.
  • Knowledge of DISS, NISS, NBIS, SIMS, and ACCS.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written), customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in performing COMSEC duties including inventory and disposition.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DIAS.
  • Membership in professional security organizations such as NCMS and ISAC.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage internal security program policies and procedures in accordance with DoD security policies.
  • Maintain compliance with 32 CFR Part 117, IC, and DoD policies for classified programs.
  • Manage Facility Clearance Level (FCL) and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Serve as COMSEC Account Manager and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide security support and direction to prime/sub-contractors, including developing DD254's and security guidance.
  • Maintain security documentation and files in accordance with DCSA and 32 CFR Part 117 requirements.
  • Conduct initial security briefings, debriefings, and indoctrinations as needed.
  • Track security clearance investigations and perform administrative support functions.
  • Handle NISS functions including certifying self-inspections and preparing Facility Clearance Sponsorships.
  • Implement security policy and direction consistent with Company and Government regulations.
  • Develop and conduct training programs related to security awareness and compliance.
  • Conduct security self-inspections and apply risk mitigation methodologies.
  • Stay informed of security threats and trends to improve facility security posture.
  • Support the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO).
  • Manage document control, personnel records, and other security assets.
