About The Position

As your initial career assignment, you will support the priorities and vital functions of our shared services teams as a(n) Facility Security Officer (FSO). Project Summary We are hiring a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead our facility security program, ensure compliance with U.S. Government security requirements, security requirements for our commercial customers, and enable secure program execution across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret clearance
  • BS/BA degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in industrial/facility security supporting U.S. Government contracts
  • Solid understanding of security regulations, standards, and compliance requirements; experience supporting audits/self-inspections and documentation/reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with personnel security workflows and common systems (e.g., DISS/NISS) and security onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Ability to conduct detailed risk assessments, develop mitigation actions, and manage security incidents through resolution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief leaders and work directly with government/customer security representatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop SOPs, manage sensitive information with discretion, and maintain strict attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • FCL program experience (standing up, scaling, or remediating findings from DCSA/customer assessments); experience supporting multiple programs, sites, or distributed teams in a consulting/technology environment.
  • Experience managing classified holdings and closed areas, including accountability, secure storage, and transmission/destruction procedures.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions
  • Familiarity with CUI requirements and related training and controls.
  • Security-related certifications (e.g., ISP, CPP, PMP, Security+, or comparable).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as AIS’s FSO and primary interface with government and commercial customers security stakeholders (e.g., DCSA and customer security offices) for all facility security matters.
  • Own the facility security program: policies/SOPs, self-inspections and internal audits, corrective actions, and assessment readiness.
  • Oversee access control and physical security processes as applicable (e.g., badge issuance/controls, access reviews, visitor management, and facility-related security procedures).
  • Manage personnel security activities: clearance processing support, indoctrinations/debriefs, visit requests, reporting requirements, and status tracking.
  • Administer industrial security systems and records (e.g., DISS/NISS or successor tools), ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and complete documentation.
  • Establish and enforce controls for safeguarding, handling, transmission, storage, and destruction of classified and other controlled information, as applicable.
  • Own and manage AIS’s background investigation process for roles requiring screening (e.g., public trust/contract-driven checks), including vendor coordination, case initiation/tracking, adjudication follow-up, documentation, and compliance reporting.
  • Monitor and investigate security incidents and violations; coordinate response and recovery, prepare incident reports, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Develop and deliver security education and awareness: onboarding briefings, annual training, program-specific training, and tailored guidance to leaders and teams; maintain training records.
  • Actively participate in external security organizations and coordinate with external agencies as needed to stay current on requirements, best practices, and evolving guidance.
  • Partner with People Ops/HR, Legal, IT, and program leadership to align hiring, onboarding, access provisioning, and contract delivery with security requirements.
