Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Facility Security Officer (FSO) to join our team onsite in Tustin, CA. The successful candidate will be leading our Security and Compliance team and drive implementations of industrial security program in alignment with the regulating guidance of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and the Intelligence Agencies, Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies with the Defense Counter-Intelligence Security Agency (DCSA). In addition, the FSO will conduct security briefings, monitor classified and controlled areas, as well as monitor, track and input all document transactions into Systems of Records databases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields preferred.
  • 5+ years related security experience with relevant government contractor(s) required..
  • US Citizen with a current Active Clearance.
  • Ability to adhere and maintain a high level of confidentially.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with robust connectivity across multiple security domains.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred in-depth knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and experience interacting with DSS
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the NISPOM and other government regulations.
  • Knowledge of facility clearance and accreditation processes/procedures.
  • Familiarity of government databases (i.e. JVS, DISS, NCAISS, e-QIP).
  • Familiarity with SIMS.
  • FSO Certification Non-Possessing Facility - Required (Processing - Preferred)
  • DCSA Systems of Record (DISS, SWFT, NACISS)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer a comprehensive industrial security education, training, and awareness program for both cleared and non-cleared personnel, including but not limited to, establishing policy, procedures, and capabilities for security systems and coordinate implementations.
  • Partner with the executive team to prioritize security initiatives, spending and departmental compliance audits based on appropriate risk management and/or financial methodology.
  • Manage the development and implementation of global security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security including physical protection (i.e. video surveillance, access control systems, asset protection) responsibilities and information protection (i.e. network security, network access, employee education) responsibilities.
  • Provide security guidance and support to executive management team and the Board of Directors as required.
  • Track personnel security clearance investigations and perform administrative support functions to include Defense Information Security System (DISS) administration.
