About The Position

The Facility Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the facility. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary environment, as well as assisting with various facility maintenance duties as required. The Facility Sanitation Associate plays a key role in ensuring compliance with sanitation protocols, maintaining equipment, and contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the facility.

Requirements

  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that require continuous movement.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards.
  • Punctuality and reliability in attendance and task completion.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of sanitation protocols and janitorial practices.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move continuously throughout the shift.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning solutions, tools, and equipment, including brooms, mops, and trash receptacles.
  • Capacity to perform repetitive physical tasks and maintain focus on detail-oriented duties for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or facility maintenance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the safe use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and sanitation practices

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive cleaning of facility areas, including floors, bathrooms, and common spaces, following established sanitation procedures.
  • Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
  • Assist with deep cleaning tasks, including cleaning ceiling vents, light fixtures, walls, and other hard-to-reach areas.
  • Prepare areas for cleaning by moving or covering furniture, equipment, and other items as needed.
  • Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals, solutions, and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety regulations to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Collaborate with other departments to assist with additional cleaning or maintenance tasks as required.
  • Complete sanitation logs and documentation to track cleaning activities and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Report any facility or equipment issues to the Facilities Maintenance Manager for prompt resolution.
