The Pharmacy Inventory and Procurement Program Manager must be a licensed pharmacist and is accountable to the Associate Chief of Pharmacy for providing leadership, direction, organization, planning, and implementation of pharmacy programs which promotes stewardship, patient centered care, enhances patient safety, and optimizes drug related outcomes in a cost-effective manner with evidence based pharmaceutical care. The primary responsibility of the position is to assume responsibility for the administration and operations of pharmacy inventory and procurement of drugs and supplies for WTXVA HCS, leading all drug and supply recalls, coordination of destruction and reverse distribution, ensuring compliance with special handling medications (i.e., REMS), overseeing drug shortages.
