Purpose The Facilities Operator is responsible for monitoring mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems that support cleanrooms and facilities and makes real-time decisions to react to changing conditions.

  • Maintains the facility within operating parameters, including adjusting systems to control water, air, pressure, temperature, and dew point.
  • Monitors and controls fire, electrical and mechanical systems that support the cleanroom and facilities using SCADA and Building Automation systems.
  • Performs rounds each shift.
  • Records conditions of systems each shift from direct observation. Systems include, but are not limited to compressed dry air, cooling towers, boilers, fire pumps, emergency generators, bulk gases, ultra-pure water, chillers, vacuum, commercial water, commercial power, waste neutralization, bulk chemical distribution.
  • Assists in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the facility. This activity is performed at the same time as the monitoring time spent in control room.
  • Responds to maintenance service requests and completes assigned preventive maintenance activities.
  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years in a semiconductor facilities environment or similar
  • Experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Experience using Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and making adjustments to equipment operating parameters.
  • Other related functions as assigned.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years' experience with BAS or SCADA control systems.
  • 4 years’ experience in a semiconductor facilities environment.
