About The Position

As a Facility Operations Specialist at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the operational aspects of facilities within the Requirements Branch of the Facilities Management Division. Your primary responsibility will be to provide updates to the Supported Command and NAVFAC management regarding all facility-related issues, including the condition of facilities and ongoing work efforts such as outages. You will engage in regular meetings with Points of Contact (POCs) from Supported Commands to review work efforts and requirements, ensuring that communication is clear and effective. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records in MAXIMO, ensuring that the Condition Index for the facilities is reflective of actual conditions. This includes validating the CIMU and Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE) inventory for assigned buildings and establishing the necessary relationships between CIMU and RPIE. You will also be tasked with initiating inspections as required to update the Condition Index and provide initial diagnoses of any problems within the facilities, seeking assistance from other NAVFAC departments when necessary. Your position will require you to monitor expenditures related to facility operations, coordinating with the Supported Command to address funding needs. You will also be involved in screening, classifying, and submitting requests for minor and specific shop work, as well as contracted work, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and effectively. This role is essential for maintaining the operational integrity of the facilities and ensuring that they meet the needs of the Supported Commands.
